Dear Pam:

I have been very fortunate to be introduced to the work your program is involved in. I found your article very informative. I agree with Professor Nosek that our ideology is essential to our perception of the world; however, from my perspective, the critical component is the shaping of the ideology.

I believe we have the power to create ideological systems which transcend our initial programming--either genetically or environmentally created. I believe so much of what we perceive is based upon is based upon the limited channels within which most people live. Plato's Allegory of the Cave is a great illustration of this.

I have spent all of my professional life developing systems by which we can reprogram our minds and energy, and overcome our 'preprogramming'. The basic concepts are listed in the websites above. I beleive that the human brain is reactionary in nature--i.e. it reacts according to its preprogrammed tendencies--genetic or environmentally created. As information hits the brain it simply 'reacts'. I believe this can be overcome by creating frameworks through which to process information and make decisions. In that process, we can create our minds to perceive as we choose, and overcome any internal bias we may have. Of course, that is dependent on selecting the proper frameworks.

I have never responded to an article before, so you must forgive me if I said too much. It's just that I have never come into contact with a source such as your institute and I am excited about it.

If you have a chance to look at the websites I have noted above, I would welcome your thoughts.

Congratulations on your work!

Best Wishes,
