i merely ask them whether they believe in Zeus, the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, etc., and what are the reasons why not? then i point out that those are the same reasons why i don’t believe in their god. it’s a great way to put them in my situation.

needless to say, it rarely works (they think their god is real, after all), but it’s a blast to see the cognitive dissonance play out on their faces!

Bork might hold the position that people should file lawsuits that do have a reasonable chance of success even if those lawsuits ought not to have a reasonable chance of success, which would be consistent with his actions (assuming that his own lawsuit falls in the category of one that ought not to be able to succeed).
