I'm surprised at the size of Judge Bork's law suit. A measly $1,000,000?

In our present day climate of run-away civil "justice" wouldn't $100,000,000 seem more logical?

i often use a form of this when explaining to people why i'm an atheist; that is, how can i not believe in god?

i merely ask them whether they believe in Zeus, the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, etc., and what are the reasons why not? then i point out that those are the same reasons why i don't believe in their god. it's a great way to put them in my situation.

needless to say, it rarely works (they think their god is real, after all), but it's a blast to see the cognitive dissonance play out on their faces!

Advocating that a system should be changed and saying that people shouldn't take advantage of said system when they can are two different things. Bork might hold the position that people should file lawsuits that do have a reasonable chance of success even if those lawsuits ought not to have a reasonable chance of success, which would be consistent with his actions (assuming that his own lawsuit falls in the category of one that ought not to be able to succeed).
