I can no longer hear the story of the Good Samaritan without thinking of Martin Luther King, who used the parable as a call to support the Memphis sanitation workers strike in his last speech before his assassination in Memphis; to paraphrase, he said &quot;don&#039;t ask what will happen to me if i stand with the strikers; ask what will happen to them if i don&#039;t stand with them.&quot;  thoughts to live by.]]></description>
